Our Team

Patrick Testoni leads UCSC’s Energy Management team, advancing campus-wide energy efficiency, energy procurement, sustainability, and renewable energy integration. His work includes utility data analytics (using platforms such as building automation data and advanced metering systems), comprehensive metering modernization, and building commissioning to improve performance and reduce carbon impacts. Patrick partners with campuswide units and local utilities on major initiatives—such as microgrid planning and infrastructure modernization—while also speaking publicly on energy management, decarbonization, and campus sustainability topics. Outside of work, he is an Ironman triathlete and performance mindset coach.

Jessica has been with UCSC Energy Management since 2022 and administers the team’s SkySpark and EnergyCAP databases and greenhouse gas reporting. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys hiking, reading, and learning new art forms (her current favorites are printmaking and knitting). With a background in commercial and residential plumbing and more than 5 years of experience working with energy metering infrastructure, Abel helps to administer and maintain the campus’s various metering systems.
